Choose Your Path This Spring
The Game Art Program is designed for students who want to create the worlds, characters, and visuals that define great games.
Throughout the program, students train with industry-standard tools like Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter while building portfolio-ready projects. As skills progress, the focus shifts from learning tools to thinking like a professional artist, mastering composition, materials, lighting, and presentation that studios expect to see.
Perfect for aspiring Environment Artists and Character Artists ready to build a competitive portfolio.
If you love problem-solving, gameplay mechanics, and making systems work, the Game Development Program may be the right fit.
Students learn C++ and Blueprints in Unreal Engine, building real gameplay systems, levels, and interactive experiences. The program emphasizes practical development skills, debugging, optimization, and collaboration, so students don’t just learn how games work, but how to build them professionally.
Perfect for aspiring Gameplay Programmers, Level Designers, and Systems Designers.
The Tech Art Program is for students who enjoy both creativity and technical problem-solving.
Tech artists act as the bridge between art and engineering, developing tools, shaders, and workflows that help teams work faster and smarter. Students gain experience with Unreal Engine, scripting, procedural systems, and pipeline optimization, skills that are in high demand across the industry.
Perfect for aspiring Technical Artists, VFX Artists, and Pipeline Specialists.
Afnan's Term III Project in Vertex School's Tech Art Program
Not sure you’re ready for the full Tech Art Program? Tech Art Fundamentals is Term II of the Tech Art Program, designed for students who already have some 3D art experience and want to skip Term I.
This course introduces how real-time shaders and procedural effects work - using math you can actually understand! It’s a great option for those exploring the intersection of art and technology.
